“Sweetest Song” Debut Single

Sweetest song is a glorious sun soaked tune, full of heart and musicity. It’s a song of real beauty. The soft, sweet melodies and luscious composition lifts you up and fills you with joy as the deep and thought provoking lyrics take you on a journey into the depths of yourself.

This is a bitter/sweet love song. A story that many will be familiar with of love that has fallen apart. The video itself shines a unique light on the dynamic of failing relationships.

The beauty and tenderness of the song is reflected in the innocence of the relationship between the girl (Little Clown) and her teddy bear. However, the story progresses to illuminate the more sinister aspects of the roles we assume inside of relationships and the abusive nature of the victim/persecutor dynamics that are congruent with a relationship that has toxified.

The lyrics of the song itself appear to speak of the forgiveness that we often seek when we have wronged someone we love.

“I wish I could tell you I’m sorry”

And yet, on a deeper level Sweetest Song suggests that it is really our own forgiveness that we are seeking. It is a song that teaches us that when we learn to love and accept the parts of ourselves that we can’t be with, forgiveness of those who have wronged us becomes effortless. They are, as demonstrated by Little Clown and her bear, aspects of ourselves and our own messy human nature.
